Azalea Dr. Koester
DESCRIPTION: A small, evergreen shrub with masses of vibrant red double blooms during spring. In winter the attractive foliage may turn a dark red.
USES: Ideal for pots on shady patios, garden beds and as a flowering carpet underneath trees.
POSITION: Choose a sheltered location with well drained, humus rich soil. Whilst most Azaleas prefer dappled light or afternoon shade, some will tolerate full sun exposure.
CARE: Mulch and water well during extended dry periods. Trim after flowering if required. Azaleas perform best in acidic soils so do not apply lime,
