It’s easy- just follow these simple rules 

POSITION: Some varieties tolerate full sun but most prefer light shade. Most soils are suitable as long as they are well drained and plenty of well rotted organic matter is dug in prior to planting, and the soil is not alkaline. 
MAINTENANCE: A tip prune and feed after the main flowering period will keep azaleas compact and vigorous, and ensure lots of flowers next season. 
Water adequately in warm, dry conditions and keep a mulch of organic material over the roots. control pets and diseases as required.
